    This is the Privacy Policy of Emperor’s Mind Pty Ltd ACN 052 983 810 (collectively referred to as Emperor’s Mind, we, our or us).

    Emperor’s Mind takes your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy and our Standard Terms and Conditions explain how the personal information you provide to us is used by Emperor’s Mind. We follow strict guidelines on the use and disclosure of your personal information. Emperor’s Mind is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act)

    Any personal information collected by Emperor’s Mind will only:

    4. the purpose for collection will be clear and explicit.

    Emperor’s Mind will not collect sensitive information (which includes information pertaining to matters such as your health, religious affiliations or political opinion) from you unless:

  1. Sensitive Information

    We are required by law to obtain your consent to the collection of "sensitive information". If circumstances require us to collect such sensitive information we will assume that you have consented to the collection of all information (including any sensitive information) which is provided to us by you for use in accordance with this Policy, unless you tell us otherwise.

    As set out in accordance with this Privacy Policy, generally Emperor’s Mind will only use the personal information we collect for the main purpose(s) for which it was disclosed at the time of collection.

    1. to provide the services you have requested from Emperor’s Mind;
    2. to answer your enquiry;
    3. we may disclose information to Apple Computer Australia as part of specific pricing programs which Apple Computer may offer. We use your information to provide our services to you, to fulfil administrative functions associated with these services, for example billing, to enter into contracts with you or third parties and for marketing and client relationship purposes.
    Emperor’s Mind will not use or disclose personal information about an individual for a purpose other than the primary purpose of collection (the Secondary Purpose) unless:

      1. the Secondary Purpose is related to the primary purpose of collection, or if the personal information is sensitive information, the Secondary Purpose is directly related to the primary purpose of collection; and
      2. the individual would reasonably expect Emperor’s Mind to use or disclose the information for the Secondary Purpose; or

    Unless you ask us not to, we will use your personal information to:
    1. provide information to you about other goods or services which we or any of our related bodies corporate or any of our partners and associates (such as telecommunication entities, providers of products or services which are related to the services and equipment, media entities, event organisers, equipment suppliers and the suppliers of any other product or service with whom we have engaged in a joint initiative) may offer to you; and

  3. Credit checks

    We may:
    1. obtain from a credit reporting agency a credit report containing information about your personal credit worthiness for the purpose of assessing your application and for the purpose of assisting in collecting overdue payments; and
    2. obtain information about your commercial activities or commercial creditworthiness from any business which provides information about the commercial credit worthiness of persons, your accountant or any offer supplier to you.
    We may give to and obtain from any credit provider named in your application for services and/or equipment or in a credit report on you issued by a credit reporting agency, information about your credit arrangements for the purposes of:
    1. assessing your application;
    2. notifying a default by you;
    3. allowing another credit provider to ascertain the status of your finance arrangements with us where you are in default with one or more other credit providers; and
    4. generally assessing your credit worthiness.
    The information exchanged can include any information about your personal and/or commercial credit worthiness, credit standing, credit history or credit capacity which the Privacy Act allows credit providers to give to or receive from each other.

  4. Cookies

    When you log onto our web site we will log the date and time when you entered the site. We use this type of information to track the patterns of visitors using our site and to examine Internet trends and demographics. This may include identifying which areas on our web site are popular and which areas are not popular. We collect this information through the use of "cookies".

    Emperor’s Mind will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information, which we hold. Emperor’s Mind will endeavour to do all things within their control to ensure our network is secured using an appropriate virtual private network, secure databases and firewall technology. We would like to advise that the internet, however, is not always a secure method of transmitting information. Accordingly, Emperor’s Mind cannot accept responsibility for the security of information you send or receive from us over the internet or for any unauthorised access or use of that information. To safeguard all information collected, Emperor’s Mind and all of its employees follow the practices in this Policy. No one is permitted to access, record or disclose information for the purpose other than for which it was intended. Emperor’s Mind will endeavour to destroy or de-identify personal information, if we no longer require the information for any purpose.
