Heaptitis C Awareness Week

Monday 19th May @ 6.30 PM @ VU Arts Space Gallery, Level 17 300 Flinders Street

Emperor’s Mind supports the design and video industry through sponsorhip. Over the years this has included: MADC, Victorian Design Foundation, AGDA, AGIdeas and ASE This month we’re sponsoring a Victoria University student exhibition initiated by Hepatitis C Victoria as part of their Awareness Week activities. Alan Morgans extends his teaching to involve his students in real world projects and their latest endeavour is for a good cause too. If you would like to attend the opening night along with other industry people please email Alan.Morgans@vu.edu.au

All students in the Multimedia Program of the School of Creative Industries are contributing work. This has been a challenging brief for students, many of whom are very young and this project has been their first exposure to work in multimedia and visual communication. Students have worked with volunteers to create both interactive and print based works that tackle the full range of issues that affect people living with this disease. The work covers issues around discrimination and social impacts as well as preventative strategies especially aimed at young people. Around eighty students are represented in the exhibition.
